The capital of Jordan, Amman may seem very chaotic but deserves to be visited like any other old city like Athens

On the banknotes of Jordanian Dinars is portrayed Abdullah II in traditional dress

Car number plates in Jordan look like this, both with arabic and english translations of the country name

Amman has a huge historical roman inheritance, like this roman theatre

The ticket has a lot of typos in english, in general you’ll see a lot of errors in english almost everywhere in Jordan

Jordans are usual visitors to roman theatre as well

keep social or physical distance I assume ?

its command that Jordan women smoke shisha or tobaco

another ancient theatre in Amman and interesting backrests for the last row

there are some attempts to make Amman interesting

but none of them would compare with the great mural of a man carrying a capital (upper part of a column) on his head

Amman in general looks like this

you’ll find a giant Jordanian flag waving

like in Athens, Amman has a hill with a lot of history on it, but is not call Acropolis, its called Citadel

King Abdullah II portrait is greeting visitors

Citadel is worth visit, and maybe is the major reason to visit Amman

on the same hill with citadel you’ll find historical building of arabic rulers, like this reception for visitors

local youth in entertaining among ruines

Amman has a batch of lang where skyscrapers has grown like mushrooms

Jordanians conversing with each other

some contemporary building try to mimic traditional architecture

sometimes you’ll see old soviet cars in Amma, apparently Soviet Union and Jordan used to be friends

there is an Armenian Church in Amma, St. Thaddeus Church

There are several society unions by Armenians

close to Armenian Church there is fantastic Lahmacun place

making of Jordanian bread

Another fantastic view of the mular of the map and some parts of Amman
