two ostrich farming booms have taken place in Oudtshoorn.
You’ll find a lot of shops around “ostrich” products

even super cool giant ostrich egg shells

almost all industry in Oudtshoorn is based on ostrich

the town itself is nice, with very authentic Victorian style museum

which hosts also a jewish synagogue inside

and has a very beautiful inner yard

in general you’ll see a lot of causie corners in Oudtshoorn
