Port Elizabeth in the most populous city of Eastern Cape province of South Africa, officially is called super hardly pronounced Gqeberha, which is in Xhosa language, indigenous language in South Africa.

Already from the plane you can see that Port Elizabeth is surrounded by white sand dunes, we will get to there, but first let’s explore the city.

in airport people are called to keep not the social distance but the physical distance

Port Elizabeth has a super cool park

where you’ll see flowers that you’ve probably seen only in florist shops before

in the park you’ll find this super cool Victorian style conservatory

almost all the houses in suburban Port Elizabeth are surrounded with electric wires

this row of Victorian or Edwardian houses resembles the painted ladies in San Francisco

almost in all cities of South Africa you’ll find a statue or installation dedicated to Nelson Mandela, such here waving to children

there is a pyramid in Port Elizabeth next to 19th century lighthouse

next to pyramid, there is a cool mosaic on the floor

Port Elizabeth has plenty of Edwardian era architecture

a political poster in Afrikaans, a language super close to Dutch language, widely spoken in South Africa.

in city center you’ll find this amazing building, which seemed to be abandoned

the city hall of Port Elizabeth

Victorian era public library

in general the city center of Port Elizabeth is quite causie

interesting installation resembling skeleton of a fish

this tower is called The Campanile, the style has been influenced by the famous St Mark’s Campanile in Venice, Italy

another super cool building is this Harbor House

Just have a look the the entrance, its magnificent

one of the highlights of Port Elizabeth is Shark Rock Pier, it is mainly a tourist attraction with a lot of cafes nearby

also with a cool beech, where everyone enjoys the sunshine in water

from the Pier you’ll see complex of hotels and casinos

police patrolling the area

and now the culmination of Port Elizabeth, not that far away from city, you’ll find the white dunes that we’ve seen from the plane.

as you get to the top of the dune, you’ll see the endless ocean
